Why a printed code never goes out of date
Some QR codes store your contact details inside the code itself. Change your phone number and that code is wrong, so you need a new one and a new print run.
A Vellcard QR code holds one thing: the address of your live card. Update your title, number or photo on Vellcard and every code you have already printed opens the new details.
The person scanning needs no app. Their phone camera opens your card in the browser, and one tap saves you to their contacts.
QR code business card questions
Is the QR code business card free?
Yes. The free plan includes one card and its QR code in the square style. Pro adds the rounded, dots and classy styles and up to eight cards, for $5 a month or $49 a year.
Do people need an app to scan it?
No. They point their phone camera at the code and your card opens in their browser. One more tap saves you to their contacts on iPhone or Android.
What happens if I change my phone number or job title?
Update your card on Vellcard. The QR code you already printed opens the new details straight away, so there is nothing to reprint.
Can I print it on my business cards?
Yes. Download the SVG from your dashboard, which stays sharp at any size, and send it to your printer. A PNG is there too, for email and phones.
Can I put the QR code in my email signature?
Yes. Every card comes with an email signature that includes your QR code, free on every plan. The email signature guide shows how to add it to Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail.
